I want a user group to have permissions to see/access a document library, download local copies of documents, but not see version history. How do i accomplish this in MOSS 2007? Using the "restricted read" level does not allow the user to see the document library, only documents themselves if they have the URL. Also, i don't believe they View only users can download a local copy of the file within the document library. TIA

Hi, "Restricted Read" permissions is the answer to your query. Using Restricted read access, the user can view documents but can't view the version history. Kindly check again as I am very sure about this. Also please check if the users in "restricted read" group are also present in different group.Cheers, Sanjiv Kumar
