Permissions for Search Keywords and Best Bets
Do you know if it is possible for a user, which is not a Site Collection Administrator, to access "Site Settings / Search Keywords" admin page?Maybe by creating a new Permission Level or...... The reason for this, is that I have editors which I do not want to upgrade to Site Collection Admintrators, but they need to create Search Keywords and Best Bets.

You would have to create a custom web part to do this. The security object requires the person to be able to access the Site Actions options.Shannon Bray - MCT, MCPD, MCTS, MCITP

Hi Jacob, I have the exact same requirement, allowing an editor to customize keywords or even create search scopes without giving him Site collection Admin privileges. He already has access to site actions, but the site collection admin column, where you would find the links for search admin, is not available for him. Did you ever find a way to please both security guys and the editor ? Thanks,

Because the links for Search Keywords and Best Bets are under the Site Collection Administration header in the Site Settings page (Go to Site Actions > Site Settings (Site Settings > Modify All Site Settings; if the site has publishing features enabled), only a user in the Site Collection Administrators group will be able to access these pages.Chris Caravajal MCTS SharePoint911 Consulting & Support
