Permissions Issues
Hey guys,I keep seeing tons of permissions issues in the ConfigMgr console. We added the site server's computer account to the Administrator accounts using group policy to all of our computers, yet it still pops up. Exactly what permissions do they need? Some of the errors are below:SMS_CLIENT_CONFIG_MGR -SMS Client Configuration Manager cannot connect to the machine "(machinename)". The operating system reported error 5: Access is denied. SMS_MP_CONTROL_MGR - MP has rejected a policy request from GUID:xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx because it was not approved. The operating system reported error 2147942405: Access is denied. I also wanted to mention how much I appreciate the help you guys give me here. I am implementing Configuration Manager 2007 in my school's network for my High School senior project. Gotta say, this has been harder than I thought it would be, but it's still keeping my interest going!

Hi, Did you enable firewall between SCCM server and your clients? Make sure you open the necessary port in your firewall: Ports Used by Configuration Manager http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb632618.aspx

I will check this out - the thread may be quiet for a bit until I can get that in the policy and check it. Thanks.
