Periodic problems loading reports
Hi, A few times every week I need to reboot our SCCM 2007 box (On Windows 2003 Standard). For some reason the reports are not loading. A reboot fixes it every time. The report page is just stuck with a "Loading ..." which never goes anywhere. Any ideas what might be wrong? Thanks in advance Jesper Walsted

Torsten is right. No error message at all. Page is stuck with the only text :"Loading..." which never times out it seems. Performance wise the server is a bit overloaded RAM wise. In general 300 MB (out of 4 GB) free when this happens. CPU is 8 cores and almost doing nothing and disk activity is fine also (fiber connected to SAN). /Jesper

Free RAM is not indicative of server performance at all. You really need to be looking at page file activity to determine if you don't enough RAM. In this case you should also be looking disk read and write queues as well as disk latencies as SQL server is a big player in reporting. I'm also assuming that SQL server is on the local system. If so, is this a 64-bit system? Have you capped the amount of RAM that SQL Server is allowed to use?Jason | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jsandys | http://blogs.catapultsystems.com/jsandys/default.aspx | Twitter @JasonSandys
