Hi friends, Can anyone say like what will be the performance or optimization for page layouts using content types in sharepoint 2007 . which will be the best scenario like page layouts using content types or using list library using content types ? it is my urgent requirement for my requirement, plz help me out. thanks and regards Ramarajan

The content types used by page layouts are automatically added to the pages document library when you create a page based on the layout. So there is no difference.
