Performance Issues
Our Production MOSS 2007 environment has been experiencing performance issues throughout most of the morning. How could I do a high level check to see if we are seeing any evidence of a performance
issue on the web/app and/or database tiers.

hi
the good tool to start investigation in case of performance issues is Windows Performance Monitor (see
Perfmon ). It has many counters including ASP.Net requests per second, disk ussage, etc. Another option is to use some watch dog server application, e.g.

You can use perfmon and use its counters to monitor the health of the process, for ASP.NET you can use the following counters to measure the performance of a web app. This
MSDN article will be helpful in monitoring the health using Perfmon
ASP.NET\ Requests Queued
ASP.NET Applications\ Requests In Application Queue
ASP.NET\ Requests Rejected
ASP.NET\ Requests Wait Time
ASP.NET\Requests Current
ASP.NET Applications\Requests Executing
ASP.NET Applications\ Requests Timed Out
for a Web Farm wide health monitoring, you should use Microsoft System Center operations manager along with the
Management Pack.Aravind http://aravindrises.blogspot.com

Is there a version of Idero for SP 2007.
If not I'll remove the posts involving it as off-topic.

@Mike
You can use Idera SharePoint Diagnostic Manager for SharePoint 2010, MOSS2007 SP1 and WSS 3.0 SP1
Just my 2 cents.
