PerformancePoint - Error creating anything

In Dashboard Designer, when trying to create anything, I get a dialog box that says "An unexpected system error has occurred. Additional details have been logged for your administer."

Steps I took

In my site, I went to Site Settings | Manage Site Features

I clicked "Activate" for PerformancePoint Services Site Features

I clicked Add an App and created a "PerformancePoint Content List"

I clicked on the list and chose Items tab and selected PP Dashboard from New Items.

The Dashboard Designer opens.  It does nothing but show "UntitledWorkspace" | "PerformancePoint" on the left pane.

When I right click to add anything (KPI, Dashboard) I get an error "An unexpected error has occurred. Additional details have been logged for your administrator."

The same thing happens if I go through all this to create a new data source in a PerformancePoint Data Connection List.

There's a mountain of entries in the ULS logs, the only entries with the word Performance in them say this

An SPRequest object was not disposed before the end of this thread.  To avoid wasting system resources, dispose of this object or its parent (such as an SPSite or SPWeb) as soon as you are done using it.  This object will now be disposed.  Allocation Id: {5953C200-AB6D-4E0A-AE11-C0AF0159C2C1}  To determine where this object was allocated, set Microsoft.SharePoint.Administration.SPWebService.ContentService.CollectSPRequestAllocationCallStacks = true.

Hi Vince,

For this issue, I'm trying to involve someone familiar with this topic to further look at it.

Thanks

Hi Vince,

from the error code is quite general, we need to trace regarding this,

is it started when you connect to data source? or have you tried something to relief the issue?

both error code somewhat different, if an object was not disposed, then perhaps it toward to memory leak, and locking the resource,

as i see from your description, you just started to use the performancepoint and the issue appears?

I solved the same problem by just recreating Performance Point Managed Service using a new app pool.
