Hi all

I've set up the user profile service with successful syncing users from 2 domains (one of which my SharePoint is on). Also I've set up My Sites and it's working as it should.

I've create a publishing site for an Intranet and the challenge that I have is the people picker. It doesn't recognize accounts as I type in. Let's say I type in John, and it tells me there are no results, but if I type his full email the people picker automatically picks up his account up and shows it properly with his full name (John Smith for example).

I was about to run this: stsadm -o setproperty -url http://<server:port> -pn peoplepicker-searchadforests -pv "forest:contoso.corp.com, contoso\<account>, <Password>;domain:bar.contoso.corp.com, contoso\<account>, <Password>;forest:abc.corp.com, abc\<account>, <Password>;domain:bar.abc.corp.com, abc\<account>, <Password>"

But now sure if that's what I need to do.

What I can do to fix this?

Yes, that is what you need to do. You can just run "forest:localforest.domain.com;forest:remoteforest.com,username,password". LocalForest is the forest your SharePoint server resides in. The username and password are an account from remoteforest.com.
