People Picker Rights.
Hi all, I created a people picker column on a list Bound to a SharePoint group. I have a group called "Intranet visitors" where I gave them a modified Contribute rights (no delete, or create views) to the list, but when I log in as a user, there is a message where the people picker is saying "The control is not available because you do not have the correct permissions". What permission are they talking about? I went to the group and gave my visitor group full rights to the group and that didn't help. What other permissions do they need? If I change the binding to all users instead of the SP group the control works fine. What's wrong with my new group :( TIA, Joe

I get the same results after selecting people and groups. My Modified contribute has the exact same permissions as contribute, but I removed the ability to delete items and create views. Just for giggles, I changed the group my test user is in to contribute rights and it did not help, so I tried giving full permissions and still same reults. Works the same on other apps and lists. Thanks for your help, Joe

AS far as I know I am on the latest version 12.0.6425.1000. I may have to go back to all people and grouips and forget about the SP group.
