PeopleSoft MA
Hello, Does anyone know if there is any custom management agent for PeopleSoft available for purchase? Thank you.

I'm using the SQL Server MA for connecting to Peoplesoft for a customer but depending on what database you're using underneath you should use the correct MA (SQL, Oracle, DB2). If you're running Peoplesoft on Informix or Sybase you can create a linked server in SQL and create a view in SQL that connects to the Peoplesoft DB and you connect to it from FIM using SQL MA. A full list of OOB MA can be found here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff608275%28WS.10%29.aspx and a list of third party MA's here: http://blogs.technet.com/b/identitymanagement/archive/2010/07/17/fim-management-agents-from-partners.aspx //HenrikHenrik Nilsson, ILM/FIM MVP Blog: http://www.idmcrisis.com Company: Cortego (http://www.cortego.se)

connection to Informix DB works perfect with XMA and .NET driver from IBM. don't think that a linked server is a better solution than a native connection from FIM XMA.

We are using PeopleSoft on Oracle and SQL Server for FIM. If we were to use SQL MA, what file format would we need to provision user account data to PeopleSoft? Thank you for your help.

Hi- Well if PeopleSoft is on Oracle I would just use an Oracle MA to connect to a view that your DBAs provide. You should be able to export back to the view but if Oracle/PeopleSoft has issues with this, you can have your DBAs build triggers on the view that fire off more complex queries when an update is issued against the view. Just make sure that whatever value is exported to the view is there afterwards for the confirming import. My Book - Active Directory, 4th Edition My Blog - www.briandesmond.com
