Virtual Windows 2008 R2 SCCM 2007 SP2 Eval AD DHCP DNS IIS WDS Virtual Windows 7 I have avertised a task sequence to all systems which has a client I imported. My virtual client recognizes the DHCP server, receives a IP, and says its connecting to the server 192.168.0.20 but then it takes a while and fails out, my task sequence will not run it will not even get into windows pe. make sure you have network access account configured and from the log files, computer is failed to connect to the share to acccess the boot file. It will not even boot into winpe so I wont be able to press F8 until then correct? Also it is a virtual machine running on my work laptop so I what I did was grab the same driver that is on my work laptop, I am fairly new to vmware will this work?

Yes,once the computer is loaded into WINPE,you can press F8 command and see if it gets IP or not You can see the VM drivers from your c:\program files\VMware folder location i guess.Try importing the drivers and see if that works. Also from the log,the computer is not found in Database .Is it known computer if so,did you enable unknown computer support ? Device not found in the database.] if not enabled,try importing the MAC address from computer association node .
