Hi All,
We have a very large hierarchy (over 100,000 clients) and are planning to migrate from SCCM 2007 to SCCM 2012 however with SCCM 2016 just around the corner, it begs the question of whether it makes sense to wait for 2016 or go to 2012 and then upgrade to 2016.
Questions are:
- Does SCCM 2016 allow you to connect to a 2007 sites for object/role migrations such as upgrading a 2007 Secondary Site to a 2016 pull DP and upgrading the content store (similar to how SCCM 2012 allows you to)?
- Is an in-place upgrade supported from SCCM 2012 to SCCM 2016 or is another side-by-side migration required?
Not looking for any specifics of how-to, just information on the roadmap for migration for existing SCCM 2007 customers. Any insights are greatly appreciated!
Thanks.
