Is there a way to copy data from excel sheet into infopath form

Hello,
can you specify your requirements in more detail, please?
You can copy and paste individual cells from Excel and paste them into an InfoPath form, but somehow I don't think that's what you are after.
Is the Excel data an eclectic range of cells? And does the Infopath form have exactly that layout? Or is the Excel data in a data table? Do you want to paste into an InfoPath repeating table? I don't think that this can be done in IP, since each new row of a repeating table must be initiated by clicking the command for the new item.
InfoPath is a tool primarily for manual data entry. Copy and paste of large amounts of data is not one of the core strengths.
Please describe in general terms what you need to achieve. What data is in Excel? What data is collected with IP. What type of form (list/browser/filler). What is the general scenario?
thanks
i want to copy manually the data from excel to infopath form repaeating table ..
Hi Nain,
For my test, we can copy the data from excel and paste them into InfoPath form directly. Here are my steps:
1.Open the excel sheet, click the first cell to select all the data.
2.Right-click the excel sheet, click the "Copy".
3.Then I go to the infopath form and press "Ctrl + V".The data will display in the infopath form fine.
Is this what you want ?
Best Regards,
Eric
Eric, in the comment directly above yours it says:

So what you posted is probably not what the OP wants.
nain1987, you cannot create rows in a repeating table by pasting data from Excel.
Hi ,
As teylyn says, we cannot create rows in a repeating table by pasting data from Excel.
So we need to insert rows before we paste data from Excel. Here are My steps:
1.Create infopath form with repeating table and save it as "RepeatingTableTest.xsn".
2.Open the form "RepeatingTableTest.xsn" and insert enough rows.
3.Open the Excel file and copy data as above.
4.Click the first cell in the repeating table and press "Ctrl + v" for pasting the data.
5.Save the infopath form as "RepeatingTable.xml".
Note:This way has many limitations, such as we cannot copy the chart and so on.
Best Regards,
Eric
