Password for defaultuser0

What is the password for defaultuser0 which has been setup automatically during installation of Windows 10 Technical Preview?

Windows installed from ISO file:

10036.0.150306-2322.FBL_IMPRESSIVE_CLIENTPRO-CORE_OEMRET_X64FRE_EN-US.ISO

10036 is a leaked win 10 build. It is not supported by Microsoft.

I doubt very much you will get help in TechNet forums.

Suggest you google for venues where discussion of the use of leaked builds is permitted.

Good luck.

Then why is build 10041 on the MS download site?

The link is for Pro ( non - Enterprise ) version.

If you check the generic product key, you will realize it is a Pro version product key.

From your 1st post, I fail to notice that you have a problem.

Found a solution.

Reboot the system and try Repair option. In the Repair option go to advanced settings and go to command prompt. Over there try to add a user. Even though I don't get the login user I added, the defaultuser0 no longer asks for password.

How to add user through command line:

MS has to fix the issue soon in version 1041. The problem is something went wrong error message is thrown while creating local account. And on restart it asks for password for defaultuser0 which is not shared.

Hi all,

As suggested above, please try to add a new user and see if the logon issue could be solved.

Besides, please submit what you have encountered through Windows Feedback.

Best regards

Hi,

the defautuser0 issue hit me during a clean installation when I restarted the computer at the point where Windows 10 asks for the Microsoft account credentials. Right after the reboot the system wanted me to logon as defautuser0.

So I reinserted the DVD and restarted the computer. This again brought me to the page where Windows requests the Microsoft account data. This time I unplugged the network cable and pressed next (without entering the credentials). I received an appropriate error message and was finally able to create a local account. Since then everything it's working fine.

I have found and info that this could be caused if you are installing Windows 10 and creating local acc when you have "low-battery" on laptop, it would not let you to create it.

Windows 10 is not a "leaked build" it's being offered as the Windows 10 Technical Preview (an official program from Microsoft).

Even in later builds... 10041 (latest x86 / 32bit  that I can download w/out errors); seeing this problem.

(banging head against wall before I found this thread)... repair with new user, logged me in as defaultUser0 then allowed me to create a new user in the signup screen.

I also tried filling out all the options with other users, but the only "valid" account seems to be the one I just built.

Accolades for getting me past this.

(it's my third notebook olde type laptop to try... 1 GB ram and a AMD turion64 -- hpdv2025nr)

"dancing bear" definitely applies
