Password for defaultuser0

What is the password for defaultuser0 which has been setup automatically during installation of Windows 10 Technical Preview?

Windows installed from ISO file:

10036.0.150306-2322.FBL_IMPRESSIVE_CLIENTPRO-CORE_OEMRET_X64FRE_EN-US.ISO

10036 is a leaked win 10 build. It is not supported by Microsoft.

I doubt very much you will get help in TechNet forums.

Suggest you google for venues where discussion of the use of leaked builds is permitted.

Good luck.

Hi Jerzy,

Apologize to say that we have no resources for testing the ISO you mentioned.

If you have any issues regarding Windows 10 build 9926 or 10041, we would be happy to share our experiences.

Best regards

I am using build 10041 x64 and installing in a Virtualbox VM (v 4.3.26) using the Win10 64 bit template. I never get prompted for a user name during the installation. I used the "express settings". When I finally see the lock screen (the one with a picture of a river and the clock) and click on it I get a screen that displays a rotating circle of dots and the word "defaultuser0" for about 30 seconds, then it goes back to the lock screen.

My physical machine is a Dell Latitude E6420, 8gb RAM, quad-core processor.

As of now, there is no 10041 Enterprise ISO available to be downloaded.

Then why is build 10041 on the MS download site?

I replied here because Michael Shao said "If you have any issues regarding Windows 10 build 9926 or 10041, we would be happy to share our experiences.".

If I should start a separate thread then I will, but this one seemed so close to my problem that I could post

Then why is build 10041 on the MS download site?

The link is for Pro ( non - Enterprise ) version.

If you check the generic product key, you will realize it is a Pro version product key.

From your 1st post, I fail to notice that you have a problem.

Hi!

Absolut the same and very annoying issue with the 10041, which I downloaded from a Microsoft site (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/preview-iso-update-1503).

Installing was very slow, but finally I have got a screen to select username, password and a hint. And here started my problems...! I have written my username to the textbox, then my password and a hint, Next, but after a 10 seconds wait, the system rejected that!! The "hint" box became red with a message under that: unknown failure. I have tried it with a few another hint text in many variants (longer, shorter, number, etc), but with the same consequenses. (Username and password were correct)

I wanted to give it up, when the OS started something suddenly, and finally I got the login screen! BUT..... with the same "defaultuser0" username, and I dont know what the hell is the password. I didnt want to creat this crazy userprofile....

There is not any other alternativ on the screen (for example: to create another user profil), so now the computer is hopelessly stucked.

What can you advise to solve the problem??

Thanks in advance

W.

I have the same issue.

I got into this position after dropping out of the request for a Windows Live / Outlook account request. When then trying to create a login to Windows 10 after that, it just kept coming back with "something went wrong" and not letting me add a username and password.  A reboot then brought up the login with the defaultuser0 however what is the password?

Thanks in advance also.

Had this happen, too. After this "something went wrong" setup unexpectedly continued, creating this defaultuser0. The defaultuser0 apparently had no password and was logged in automatically. But: there was no start screen, the start button did not even work. Everything Modern/Metro was completely absent. Pressing the notification icon in the task bar did nothing.

Found a solution.

Reboot the system and try Repair option. In the Repair option go to advanced settings and go to command prompt. Over there try to add a user. Even though I don't get the login user I added, the defaultuser0 no longer asks for password.

How to add user through command line:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/251394?wa=wsignin1.0

MS has to fix the issue soon in version 1041. The problem is something went wrong error message is thrown while creating local account. And on restart it asks for password for defaultuser0 which is not shared.
