Hi, I created a new web application - (blank team site as the site template) and de-tached the current content database and attached a content adtabase taken from another SQL Server. When I open the site the parent site says "404 Page cannot be found" but the child sites /sites/child1 open without any issues. What do you think is the reason behind this behavior. Thanks, Cutloo

The home page might have not been configured. Can you navigate to the parent site settings by /_layouts/settings.aspx. Under look and feel, click on welcome page. Change the welcome page with one in the Pages library.
