Parameter changes,Report invalidate
Hi everyone, My SQL server version is 2008R2 (10.50.1600.1) I have a problem, there is a mutiple parameter in my report, after my report is opened, when i want to change the selected value in this patameter, like a 'country' patameter,i change it from ("USA","UK","Japan","France") to ("USA","UK"),the report below disappears,I can't see the report until i press the 'view report' button. What i really want is when i change the 'country 'parameter from ("USA","UK","Japan","France") to ("USA","UK"),i still want to see the report with ("USA","UK","Japan","France") selected, the report shouldn't change until i press the 'view report' button. Before i deploy this report,it works as what i want in Visual Studio, but after deploy it doesn't,so is this a problem with the website?(asp.net) Besides,in the parameter properties advanced dialog,no matter 'Automatically determine when to refresh',or 'Always refresh',or 'never refresh' is selectd,it doesn't work. This problem is similar to mine: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlreportingservices/thread/00e66541-90de-42e0-ace5-9f59af659426 I hope anyone can give me some advice on this, any advice is appreciate. Thanks in advance . Regards, Jun.

This is by design in SSRS 2008 R2. Once you change any parameter value, the result pane below is cleared. The logic behind this behaviour is keep the output pane always in sync with the parameter selection pane. That is if the pane is not cleared after parameter selection changes, it could be treated that the value displayed is for currently selected parameters (which is not correct). As you have observed, this behaviour does not depend on parameter refresh settings in Advanced dialog.
