Page editing permissions - Can I assing page level permissions
We have a publishing site and I have a user who needs to be able to edit one specific page in our site... we don't want this user to have contribute access on the entire pages library or that site only this one page. I have gone to the pages library and given full control to the user... he can see the site actions button... click edit page but there is no editing toolbar or publish button... in edit mode he can see the web zones and the HTML box but cannot publish any changes. At the site level the user only has read permissions.. but on the page full control. Is this possible to do... just give permissions to edit and publish one page? Thankssayitfast

I tried this out and you're absolutely right. If a user has readonly permissions to the pages library, but full control on a certain page, they don't get to see the publishing console when editing that page. In order to see the publishing console a user needs to have at least contribute access to the pages library. This may be by design, but it seems more like a bug to me.
