I would like to know what happens to the package security level when a package is imported to the MSDB if security level is not specified at the time when import is done. I’m aware that by default packages assume EncryptSensitiveWithUserkey protection level when they are in the SSIS designer or file format (correct me if I’m wrong). My confusion is to know whether this default protection is carried across to MSDB if no protection is explicitly specified at the time of importing the package or the protection level changes to something else. Hi, I think even after deploying the package in msdb the protection level remains same. when we import the package i think it will be imported with the same protection level. Regards, Bharadwaj Sastry.
