Package template SSIS
I created a package template which had commmon features like error handling and logging and common tasks which will be used in many of the new packages to be used. Then created 8-10 packages using the package template. Now there is a change in client requirement regarding the common functionality of logging. So do i need to go to each package and make the changes? If yes, then i suppose this is one of the drawbacks of using Package template.

Yes, unfortunately you have to change all the packages. this is the reason why I always use configurations Hi, can you please tell me more on this. I have also used configurations in my SSIS packages which maintains database connection details, SSIS variables and log file path. My concern was that the client has asked for more custom information in case of logging because of which i had to change each of the packages created.
