Package Transfer Manager failed to update the package

Hi,

Please check smsdpprov.log to find more information.

Please also check the content as below.

"The distmgr.log revealed the following error:

ExecStaticMethod failed (80041001) SMS_DistributionPoint, FinalizeContent
After a bit of searching, it appeared to be related to a permissions issue.
Looking at the DP's SCCMContentLib\DateLib directory, I could see a folder for the package:
PRI00003.6
When trying to open the folder though, I was greeted with an access denied, despite being an admin on the server."

I am getting Failed to update package error when I distributed the OS image WIM file to DP. There are enough disk space available on the distribution point.  The asset message refer me to look at PkgXferMgr.log but I am unable to locate the log file.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Brian.

Look on your primary site where SCCM is installed

drive:\Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\Logs

This will give you more info.

But did you firts look at the account you are using (normaly it's the site server compute account) need to be admin of the DP.

Also make sure you have enough space on the DP.

I suggest that you take a look at the smsprov.log file. There should be some error lines at the same that Package Transfer Manager tried to add the file to the DP.
