Are there any article available that states the Package distribution flow internals? Like when an application is published in to PS, what components/threads are involved in the backend during the content distribution?

Thanks. But those articles seems to referring for SCCM 2007. Is this still applicable in SCCM 2012 ? How about content library (Single file)

they (legacy packages) are still applicable to Configmgr but when it comes to applications ,the process is still same on the server side except that,the components involved like package transfer manager and its logs etc will be changed .I haven't seen any distribution process flow for applications in Configmgr like packages.There are many guides online on how to troubleshoot application distribution issues,logs etc. Have a look at steverac blog talks about application model internals http://blogs.msdn.com/b/steverac/archive/2012/11/18/configmgr-2012-application-model-internals-part-ii-client-side-deployment.aspx
