PXE booting an Intel AMT machine

Hi,

I have a question about PXE booting an Intel AMT machine. When PXE booting the machine I get a TFTP timeout error. When I run the Microsoft NetMon I see the following lines:

TFTP: Read Request - File: smsboot\x86\wdsnbp.com, Transfer Mode: octet tsize: 0

ICMP: Destination Unreachable Message, Port Unreachable, xx.xxx.xxx.xx:69

Anyone got an idea in why this is happening and/or how to solve it?

Thanks in advance,

Sander

That should be totally unrelated to AMT. Do other clients on the same subnet work? Do you see the MAC in smspxe.log? Have you setup IPhelpers or dhcp options?

Allright, good that it has nothing to do with Intel AMT. It's just a test environment with only 1 client so I can't answer the question about other clients.

The SMSPXE.log on the PXE-DP doesn't show anything (nothing comes in).

Used DHCP options 66 and 67.

PXE worked a month ago though, and nothing happend in the mean time, only the implementation of AMT.

The PXE request does not make it to WDS then if you don't see anything in smspxe.log. Is WDS up and running?

Checked the roles, didn't found WDS.

I unchecked and checked the PXE option on the DP in SCCM again. Role didn't come up on the DP, I'll contact the server team. Thanks for the help.
