PXE boot on distant location
We have 2 smaller locations. 1 has a secondary server and is doing OSD. Now they want the second location also to do OSD (PXE). They have subnet 10.89.20.0 and the other location has 10.89.40.0. The connection is a 10Mbit/s and over WAN. (not internet) Is this possible to PXE boot the machines there?

It might work, but PXE was not designed for being used accross WAN links. How many clients are you talking about?

I would put a server out there. You don't want to be pushing images across 10Mbit and you don't want to be using the state migration point across that connection either. (unless this is very limited use) John Marcum | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jmarcum |

They are around 100 users

100 computers I'd most likely add a secondary site server. John Marcum | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jmarcum |
