PXE boot entry config - where?

Anybody has any idea what controls the default PXE boot image entry?

Is it some marker in a database? Some config in local files?

Obviously WDS config is not used, as CM controls & only uses the PXE capability

I know: "...the client will Always pick up the boot image of the task sequence that was advertised last..." - or Deployed in 2012 R2

Thanks

The boot image can be configured in the properties of the task sequence.

I know how it can be configured.
I just want to know what actually happens when this is configured.

Where is this info/config read from (physically - db, ini, someotherfile) during PXE boot

PXE will always use the most recently used boot image for that architecture (as long as it still exists on the PXE enabled Distribution Point)

Or is it the last re-distributed image?

Something somewhere tells PXE to use this (and not different) image

It's not as simple as you might think....

And, you also need to consider, if you are using Unknown Computer support, is the device is question known, or, unknown...

Are you deploying OSD TS to "All Systems" ?
Are you deploying OSD TS to "Unknown Computers"?

Have you changed anything about Unknown Computers, e.g. added the Unknown Computers objects into any other collections?
