PXE Point on a Virtual Machine - DP
I am setting up SCCM 2012 in my environment. Many branch offices have a all in one server (Windows 2008 R2) running on a Virtual Machine - HyperV and VMWare mixed. I am setting up the DP on these branch offices. Would I be able to setup PXE point here? I have atleast 20-30 machines in each location to be reimaged. Would I be able to enable PXE/WDS on a virtual machine and do a OSD using SCCM?

When you say 'set up a dp', do you mean install a ConfigMgr Secondary Site? If you are configuring a Secondary Site, then as long as your VM has network connectivity you will be able to provide PXE services at these sites.

I have approx. 70 Virtual Branch Offices (Windows Server 2008 R2) with PXE enabled (Hyper-V). And they are working quite well. Just make sure that both Boot Images (x86 and x64) are on the DP's along with the other content. And make sure that you have enabled "Deploy this boot image from the PXE Service Point" on both images (Boot Images -> Properties -> Data Source).

Note these forums are for ConfigMgr 2007; for 2012, go to http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/configmanagerosd/threads Yes, you can enable these DPs to provide PXE services. Are you having a specific issue or just in the design phase? There's nothing special about VMs and no reason to treat them differently or assume their behavior is any different from a physical system. Final note: OSD does not require PXE. PXE is just one method to deliver the boot image in OSD -- there are others including boot media and directly from DPs through OS initiated deployments.
