PXE-E53 after Domain Controller upgrade
Hi - hope someone can help me out here. Bit of background - we had 2 Domain Controllers (2003) that were changed out and replaced by 2 new one (2008) - both of which serve as DHCPs for their respective subnets. Now the PXE service no longer appears to be functioning correctly for the subnet of one of our secondary sites (one which had their DC/DHCP server changed). It gets to the stage where it starts looking for DHCP but then times out and shows "PXE-E53: No boot filename recieved" I'm not really clued up on the networking side of things, so I'm not sure how to resolve this one. I've looked around and found mention of configuring DHCP Options 60, 66, 67, but I'm not sure as I've also read mention that you shouldn't have to configure that. (But then again, none of them mention what happens when someone upgrades a DC/DHCP server) I've already tried uninstalling WDC and PXE roles and then reinstalling, and while all the files and logs look good, it has not made any difference. Should I just go ahead and get them to configure the DHCP Options? Thanks in advance

What did you use before the upgrade of the DCs? IP Helpers, or DHCP Options? Best thing is to start clean and start using IP Helpers, as they are more reliable. Thanks for the reply Peter - I will speak with the networking team and see if they can check/setup the IP Helpers, etc. Unfortunately as I inherited the system, I didn't check what settings were originally configured for the PXE boot side of things. A weekend change just brang it to attention... Will update once we have a chance to make any updates
