PWA 2010 / IE11 not finishing save command after jsgrid.js error

Hi,

we are using Project Server "14.0.7015.1000" and Internet Explorer "11.0.9600.17728".
In the screenshot you see the PWA error I am trying to catch.

We can replicate the behavior with any user by selecting multiple rows of tasks and applying "Delete Task". This is what brings up the error in "jsgrid.js" (invalid argument). Saving after this error occured leads to the situation that you can see on the screenshot:

- You can see the "Processing..." box which will stay there until you leave the page
- Buttons are greyed out due to a pending process
- IE Memory usage goes up
- Nothing will happen until you leave the page (while loosing your changes of course).

Do you have any idea on where to start here? It looks more like a client issue. Logs and queues that I have checked on the server so far do not seem to record anything related to this issue.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Best,
Sascha

Hello, have you tried it with compatibility mode for the PWA site or ty using the emulation option - try emulating IE 9.

Hi Sachaext,

Eventhough IE11 is supported by Project Server 2010, one might still encounter issues.

Try to add PWA to the IE compatibility settings. Also check that PWA is add to the trusted sites.

To sum this up shortly: I was not aware that the "X-UA-Compatible" header-tag overrides the compatibility mode.
So with that mode switched on (resulting in document mode: IE7) everything seems to work fine again.

Thank you for your replies.
