PGP Whole Disk Encryption and OSD
We have a TS that backups with USMT on the SMP, reboot to PE, format, drop OS, etc. and work well on most machines. But on laptops with PGP whole disk encryption, after the reboot into PE, it errors can't access the drive even though the next
command was to format. If I drop to cmd prompt, I can diskpart in and clean the disk, format, etc. What can I do to get the same result? Do I need to create a task to call diskpart with the text file that has the command? Doesn't the
built in format task use diskpart?Jay Parekh Project Leadership Associates

The only way I've gotten this to work is to use 2 seperate TS. Capture the user state in the first one then do a bare metal deployment using a second TS. As long as the computer name is the same it will automtically create the association for you and restore
the user data even though it's a bare metal.
