Hello!

I created a Word 2010 document and added absolute links to .PDF files stored in a Document Library on SharePoint 2007.  When I try to open the .PDF files from the Word document, I receive the following message:

"Unable to open 'URL'.  Cannot open the specified file."

The Word document is on my local drive.  Any suggestions, solutions?

Hi Patti,

When you right click to edit the link, then take the contents of the link, does it resolve properly?

Are the PDF files also local to your hard drive?

The links resolve properly.  The .PDF files are located in a document library on the SharePoint 2007 server.

(I have links to Word documents, in the same Word file, in the same document library on the SharePoint server and they open without a problem.)
