Outlook SharePoint Calendar entry delete does not delete in Sharepoint
I have set a Calendar in Sharepoint. All authenticated users have read access to the site, and to the calendar Group A users have read access to the site and Contribute access to the Calendar. Group A users can add/ delete entries from the Calendar when using the SharePoint site. When linking the calendar to outlook, the entries appears in the Outlook view. The Addition/Deletion performed on the SharePoint site itself are viewed correctly in outlook. Group A Users can add entries to the Calendar from Outlook, and this displays fine on the SharePoint calendar itself However, when deleting from Outlook, the entry appears to delete in Outlook, but is not deleted from the SharePoint Calendar. What gives ?? Frogbeef

What version of Outlook are you using? 2-way calendar sync is new in Sharepoint 2007. Make sure you are synchronizing with Outlook 2007 as it will not work with Outlook 2003 Tony

Good morning Tony, Thanks for the comment, I should have noted that this happens in Outlook 2007

Sorry for the late reply, i am not being alerted for this forum for some reason, It may be an issue with the user not having permissions to delete from the sharepoint calendar. Also, i have heard of issues with the SP Calendar and the Outlook Calendar being open at the same time, strange as it is. Make sure that Outlook is not in Cached mode and when you do a Send and Recive, make sure that it on all groups as they may have setup specific Send/Recive Groups. It is a bit strange but there is always a logial explanation. Lastly, ensure that Outlook 2007 has all its updates. Tony Parker, MSCE . MCTP. MCITP "Anything worth doing, is worth doing right"

Hi Frogbeef, I recently had a similar problem with my Outlook 2007 when adding SharePoint calendars. For me there was a simple but little odd solution. After adding the calendar I had to close Outlook and reopen it before making any change If I didn't do that deleting Items from the calendar in Outlook would not delete the item in Sharepoint. I think there was an entry in this forum regarding that topic but I don't know what the exact title was. Best Regards MOSS_Test_Dummy
