Outlook Add-in
Hej guys, I'm in the following situation: - one AD domain server - one exchange 2010 server - one FIM 2010 server - one client with win7 and office 2010 The problem is that I can't get the outlook add-in working. I installed the add-in and I used group policy template to set the right parameters. On my client the add-in is loaded and it does what it is suppose to do I think. I can send a mail to join/leave groups etc... But the e-mail never reach the owner of the group. When I logon the mail account of the FIM service account I see he received the emails but it looks like they don't get processed ...and that he doesn't forward them to the owner of the group... Does anyone has a clue what the problem can be? Also, which attributes are required to provision distribution groups to AD/Exchange? I now have in my "AD Distribution group sycnronisation rule" following configuration: Outbound: - displayname => displayname - mailNickname => mailNickname - member=> member - owner=> managedBy - accountName=> sAMAccountName - 8=> groupType - "CN="+displayname+",OU=FIMObjects,DC=company,DC=local"=> dn inbound: - mail => email - member=> member Hope someone can help me! Greetings

Do you have the following key set? Below: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\FIMService Value: PollExchangeEnabled 1 = enabled This should configure the FIM Service to regulary check it's mailbox. For the Distribution Groups: from Exchange Provisioning using ILM 2007 and FIM 2010: You're only supposed to flow mailNickname and groupType (from the Exchange point of view). I think 8 as grouptype is ok (see http://www.zevainc.com/index.php?option=com_idoblog&task=userblog&userid=63&Itemid=18 ) If you need more help regarding the group synchronization scenario: Introduction to User and Group Management How Do I Provision Groups to AD DS http://setspn.blogspot.com

Jules, Make sure the email address of the requestor, owner(s), member you are attempting to add, and the group itself are present in the portal. All of these are necessary in order for this to work, from what I've seen.
