Outlook 2007 and Recurring Meeting Workspace
Hey Everyone, I have created a recurring Decision Meeting Workspace using a calendar in SharePoint (WSS 3.0). No problems there - it shows up fine and I can select the different meeting dates, etc. Now I want to create a meeting request in Outlook and link to this recurring meeting workspace - that doesn't work. What am I not understanding here? Is it a workflow issue I am not getting? If the workspace is not recurring, I can link to it fine. I have searched on this repeatedly, but haven't come up with any concrete answers. Thanks, John

When you make the meeting there should be a copy in your personal calendar as well as the sharepoint calendar; if you open your personal calendar in outlook 2007 can you open the meeting and add attendees there?

Yes, that's correct, you need to create the meeting from outlook and use outlook to manage this piece of it. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HA100819871033.aspx " Add an event to a SharePoint calendar by using Outlook You can add appointments and all-day events to your SharePoint calendar, similar to the way that you add them to your Outlook calendars. Find links to general information about appointments and all-day events in the See Also section. Note Meeting requests do not work in a SharePoint calendar. For example, attendees do not automatically receive updates when an event in a SharePoint calendar changes. To add an event to a SharePoint calendar by using Outlook 2007, first you need to connect the calendar to Outlook. For more information, see Connect a SharePoint calendar to Outlook in this article."
