Out of band serial connection
Hi There,
I am curious to find out if anybody is using the serial connection in out of band in a production environment.
I have it implemented however I find it a bit heavy when displaying information.
For example, when I start the Serial Connection and boot into BIOS I see the cursor flushing but have to hit enter a few times to get things moving.
When I force a PXE boot it keeps dropping out and in and the screen just stays black?
Has anybody experienced this and know how to improve it?
I wanted my Techs to be able to re-image workstations remotely via this technology
Also I assume I should be able to goto https://FQDN:16993 . When I’m in Firefox I can see the login page however it doesn’t accept any of my usernames that are
in AMT user accounts. In IE8 I type the username and password and it goes to Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
Thanks in advance

Although ConfigMgr integrates with it, this functionality isn't really ConfigMgr, it's Intel's AMT so you may not get a great answer here. Intel does maintain a robust set of forums on their site AMT/vPro though.Jason | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jsandys | http://blogs.catapultsystems.com/jsandys/default.aspx | Twitter @JasonSandys

or you can get access to development tools at
