Sometimes I get errors, sometimes the service just crashes. It worked fine until a week ago and nothing has changed that I have been able to find. I can run a synch on the MA and I have another MA connecting to the same Oracle server but a different table that works fine. Only the import on one MA fails with a "stopped-server" error. I've gotten the following error a few times (when I actually get an error other than that the service has stopped): Synchronization Service Manager An error was encountered when processing your request. Error: The server GetMAData function encountered an error : Unable to cast COM object of type 'System.__ComObject' to interface type 'MMSSERVERRCW.IMMSManagementAgent2'. This operation failed because the QueryInterface call on the COM component for the interface with IID '{5A5AE614-8DE4-8FBB-A00754F4736A}' failed due to the following error: The RPC server is unavailable. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706BA). I am seeing two 6401 events in the event log whenever I try to run the import: The management agent controller encountered an unexpected error. "BAIL: MMS(5544): cntrler.cpp(1742): 0x800706be (The remote procedure call failed.) Forefront Identity Manager 4.0.3531.2" and The management agent controller encountered an unexpected error. "ERR: MMS(5544): libutils.cpp(10225): Unusual error code reported 0x800706be Forefront Identity Manager 4.0.3531.2" I also get the miiserver.exe process crashing with msvcr90.dll being the faulting module. I've been fighting with this for a week now.
