Opslogix Ping MP - Crashes Configuration
Hi, We have installed the Opslogix MP. we initially had it installed on out R2 RC server. It was crashing the console whenever I went to the configuration page.We have now since upgraded to R2 RTM. We uninstalled Opslogix and re-installed using the RTM DLL provided. We can get to the configuration page. However whenever we try and add a sources it crashes. To Test I re-applied the RC DLL, I was then able to get into the configuration page and add a source and some hosts.I've now come out of it, I then try and go back to the configuration page again and it crashes instantly.Anyone else been having issues with this MP. It looks like an excellent MP. Just doesn't work for us.Many thanksKevinKevHal

Hi Kevin,We saw this behaviour when the "connector" did not initialize properly. The MP UI uses a connector 'under the hoods'. When this is not initialized, it will generate an exception and fail. Can you contact info@opslogix.com and send them the error code/screenshot? I'm confident they will be able to help you. Thanks, Maarten__System Center Operations Manager MVP

I e-mailed them a week ago and have yet to receieve a reply. I am still having problems with this Management Pack. You could be right about it not being initialised. However I don't know how to fix it.KevinKevHal

Hi Kevin Not sure if this is still a problem. We have had a similar issue on one console - there is a new dll and whenwe downloaded and reinstalled the new version it worked fine. Cheers Graham View OpsMgr tips and tricks at http://systemcentersolutions.wordpress.com/

Installed it today. I'm curious why there are 2 OpsLogix objects in the Admin section of the console that serve no purpose? These should really be removed guys... :)
