Ops Mgr 2012 Beta - Azure Monitoring
Hi,
Are there any enhancements to Ops Mgr's capability to monitor Windows Azure hosted services in the 2012 Beta? I can't seem to see any as yet. Ideally I'd like to be able to install an agent onto the Azure VMs, discover our applications and monitor
the event logs / performance counters directly. Being able to use the new AviCode features with Azure would be great.
Thanks!

Thanks Dan, so that means there's nothing new in this area compared to Ops Mgr 2007 R2 CU3?

The azure management pack is what it is - it is not related to a specific version of Operations Manager. It works in Ops Manager 2007 and it works in the OM 2012 beta as well.

Thanks Nicholas - we're already monitoring several Azure applications using Ops Mgr 2007 R2. I was just hoping that this capability would be enhanced in Ops Mgr 2012 Beta but based on Dan's posts this doesn't appear to be the case. I've logged
some feedback on Connect so hopefully we'll see some additional capabilities included in later releases.
