OpsMgr 2007 R2 CU4 - Exchange 2010
We upgraded our OpsMgr 2007 R2 to CU 4 today, during the process when we upgraded the agents, it kicked off all of our exchange services within our site, we are just wondering why this happening and to learn what we can do in the future to prevent this. On another note, we still seem to get a high number of false positives produced from our exchange servers and OpsMgr 2007, we did follow the readme from the MP. We were told that the noise would be corrected in Exchange 2010 SP1 but that did not seem to happen. Thanks in advance.

CU4 (and CU3) both have a known issue on 2008 systems that causes Restart Manager to restart some critical services (like Server), which in turn causes all kinds of interesting things to fail/failover like clusters, SQL servers, etc. We had that happen here."Fear disturbs your concentration"

I really don't remember seeing those a known issues on the KB article. Thanks for the feedback. Is there anything one can do to minimize outages next time?

As far as I know this is a behavoir of Server 2008 and not SCOM, now I know that doesent help you then its as a result of SCOM that the servers rebooted, however we have being observing this with CU3 and now with 4Paul Keely
