I am new to this environment, I found this certificate for Operation Manager that is expired on our RMS. No noticable problem in the operation. But it as this message attached to it: This CA Root certificate is not trusted because it is not in the Trusted Root Certification Authorities store. Then what is the purpouse of this certificate, no impact after exipiration?

It could have been used to monitor a non-domain joined server, or to authenticate with a SCOM gateway server in another domain. If you are't monitoring servers in either scenario, that's why you might not have noticed any impact.
