Operations Manager 2007 Component Firewall Exceptions
On this page: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb309428.aspx You can find the "Operations Manager 2007 Component Firewall Exceptions". It says configured by "Setup" or "Windows Firewall" in the last column of concerning table. What does that exactly mean? Regards, Chris

the windows firewall ones are to be set manually in some way or by gpo or script. The scom installers do not do anything with those except that if those are blocked in the firewall they are unreachable by outside components or by functionality you might want to use, such as pushing an agent. There are a few that are configured during the setup stage of SCOM components. Some of them can be changed (such as the 5723 port). But I think it misses the description and the implications you are probably looking for there in the documentation.Bob Cornelissen - BICTT (My Blog about SCOM) - MVP 2012 and Microsoft Community Contributor 2011 Recipient
