Operating System Deployment using SCCM 2012 R2

Hi,

I am trying to deploy Windows 7 Operating System using SCCM 2012 R2. Have Enabled PXE support for clients and Windows Deployment Services (WDS) is installed on the same server where PXE distribution point is used to deploy the operating system (SCCM Primary Site Server). In our environment we are not using Windows DHCP however using DHCP configured through Applicance (Blue Cat)

I have created a device collection, imported the computer information to the collection, created a task sequence for deploying the captured OS and deployed it to the collection

When tried to pxe boot the client machine to boot from the network by pressing F12 key for network service boot to work with Windows Deployment Services and grab an image it errors out as: Network not found.

Please let me know if any change I should do from Network side or in DHCP (by setting Option 60 or anything else)

Thanks & Regards

Krishna

Examine smspxe.log on the pxe-enabled DP.

Hi,

I have checked smspxe.log in the sccm primary site server where PXE DP + WDS is installed don't see any error. The last message I see is "PXE Provider finished loading"

Kindly let me know whether I should involve Network Team or DHCP Team to do any changes in my environment inorder to get IP Address for the client machines during Network boot

Regards

Krishna
