Hi,
For your scenario, you have to force the Explorer View to use FPRPC.
For more information, please refer to this white page in:

Hope this helps to shred a little light.
Thanks!

This is a simple fix that we found resolved MANY issues on our installation.
We are running MOSS 2007 Ent. Edition, and recently upgraded all client PCs to Vista Enterprise with Office 2007 installed. All patches up to current.
In any case, Office Products all had issues saving directly to SharePoint, Explorer View fails, and "Open in Windows Explorer" prompts repeatedly for credentials and ultimately
fails.
The workaround is simple to implement.
SharePoint / Office 2007 / Internet Explorer Fix
We have noticed some issues that have cropped up with SharePoint since the adoption of Windows Vista on our network. This issue is related to how Vista handles security,
especially when dealing with certificates. Here is how to resolve a lot of those issues relating to interactions between SharePoint, Office 2007 and Internet Explorer.
Open ‘My Computer’, right-click and Select ‘Add a Network Location’
Click Next
Click ‘Choose a custom network location’, then click Next
Type: https://sitename
in the ‘Internet or network address:’ text box, then click Next (insert your portal root sitename without any /pages or anything)
It will pause for a bit, then the select Certificate Dialog will come up. Select the Signature certificate and click ‘OK’.
Click ‘Next’
Uncheck the ‘Open this network location when I click Finish’ checkbox. Click ‘Finish’
This resolves MULTIPLE SharePoint & Office/SharePoint issues that have arisen since the adoption of Windows Vista on our network. You MIGHT even have to reboot prior to adding this new network location to your box. Once added, you should not need
to touch it again. If the issues DO resurface, a reboot will generally resolve them. If not, delete the network location. Reboot. And follow these steps again to add the network location back to your computer. Generally speaking though,
once implemented you should never have to revisit this issue.
