I uploaded a pdf file to my document library in SharePoint, but it will not allow be to open in edit mode. All other documents xls, word support the edit mode as I click on the document. Please provide detailed step-by-step instructions on how to facilitate this, as I'm a newbie :-) Thanks.

What do you want to edit? - The file contents or the attributes? The .pdf format is not a Microsoft invention, it belongs to Adobe Inc, which is why you arent getting the same options - .doc, .xls are all part of the MS Office package, which Sharepoint has been designed to work with. Also .pdf documents are designed to not be edited in the first place, just read.
