Good day.  My windows 7 machine has developed a strange quirk.  Only at the logon screen, when I type using my keyboard the characters displayed are the same as the on board keyboard.  Example, I press the \ and the # symbol is displayed.  Pressing Shit and \ yields ~. This is quite a hassle when I am having to logon as a local admin or a new network and need to use the \.  I have updated all the system and bios drivers, I have confirmed that all of my regional and language settings are to US (English).  Thank you for any insight you may be able to provide.

Do you mean the issue only occurred with the specific user account?
How many language package have you installed in the machine?
