One user can't write to the SharePoint team calendar
There is a question for this issue on the Forums, but it is locked. So I'm asking again. I have a user that is using a Mac and has also tried using OWA to send a meeting request to a SP Calendar. It goes into the dropbox and disappears, but does not show up on the SP Calendar. Has anyone found a solution for this? Thanks Kim

Hi, Has this user tried a different broswer? The list of supported broswers are listed here: SharePoint 2010 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263526.aspx Sharepoint 2007 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263526(office.12).aspxRegards, Savoeurn Va Microsoft Online Community Support

Yes, he has tried different browsers. Also this is Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, if that makes a difference.

Other than using a Mac what else is different about this user when compared to others? Does he connect to the network differently, ie different VPN, different firewall access.Regards, Savoeurn Va Microsoft Online Community Support

He is on a different Exchange Server, but so is another use, and he didn't have any problems sending a meeting email to the calendar. I am not 100% sure if he is using VPN or on a different network. I've send him an email, but have not heard back from him. thank you.

I was thinking it may have something to do with how the Alternate Access Mappings are set up on the server. I changed them, but now my search is not working, so I need to concentrate on fixing search.

Another thought is, has he tried a different computer? Basically we just need to see if the issue follows with his logon account. If it does then permissions maybe needed to adjusted on the site.Regards, Savoeurn Va Microsoft Online Community Support

He has not tried another computer, I'll see if he can log in from my computer tomorrow and try that. He was able to email another calendar update from his Mac Outlook and it did not go through. Tested an email to the email archive list and it DID upload. Tried to send email to the original calendar that was having the issue from his gmail and it did NOT upload either. His user permission on the site is Full Control, he's in the Owner's Group.

Changing AAM's would affected all users instead of just one user. And yes, it can also break search if you do not update the crawl content sources.Regards, Savoeurn Va Microsoft Online Community Support
