One PC cannot access Report Builder after upgrade
We recently upgraded to 2008 R2 SP2, but we are using Report Builder 1.0 because it fits our needs better than 3.0. We have one Win7 64bit machine that receives an error of "400 Bad request" when connecting to SSRS. Every post I've found talks of setup issues on the server and permissions. However, it's only one PC, the same user can connect fine on another PC, and every user on the offending PC has the same issue even domain admins. This PC used RB just fine before the R2 upgrade. I ran a Wireshark and the request prior to the 400 response looks malformed. The SOAP post is sort of in the middle of the HTTP data. It's really odd and I have never seen anything like it. I've tried everything I can think of on the PC, including upgrading and downgrading IE, setting the site to Trusted and lowering the security setting for that zone all the way. There is no proxy or firewall involved. Has anyone solved this when it wasn't a permissions or web server setup issue? Thanks, Steve

Hi Steve, If I understand correctly, the issue occurs when you access to and make use of the Report Builder 1.0 on the computer in question. Based on my research, the issue should be related to the Network. If you use a different network adapter on the computer, try to change the network adapter. If there is any anti-virus software installed on the computer, temporarily disable the anti-virus software and check the issue again. Hope this helps. Regards, Mike Yin TechNet Community Support

Thank you for the suggestions, but neither had any effect. We've tried IE 8, 9 and 10. We also switched from the docking station to the onboard NIC, and plugged into a different network uplink. Same result. This one's a real stumper.
