One of my users wants to share his OneNote folders in SharePoint 2010. This is supported and works but there is one annoying problem. The folder icon for the shared OneNote folder has the red "X" on it followed by the folder name. We follow the process in OneNote to create a shared folder on SharePoint. That portion works fine and going into the folder on SharePoint shows the OneNote files and they all have the proper OneNote icon. The problem is going one level up, where the folder shows the red "X". I know there has got to be a simple solution to this problem, I just haven't been able to find it through many searches. I was thinking I could modify the DOCICON.XML file like I had to for the Adobe PDF icon, but that was for a file, not a folder. I can't seem to figure out how to add in a folder icon. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
