Offline Media with multi software install steps
I'm working with a task sequence which has approximately 50-60 software installs based on various conditions. Right now each software install is a single software install step, so we have quite a large task sequence. We're talking about the possibility of moving them into a multi-install step. The problem we're running into is that we have several remote locations with low bandwidth and no on site DP. These sites are currently using USB media to execute the TS. Obviously when building out the TS media using a multi install step it would not automatically bring down the appropriate software packages as they would not be directly referenced by the TS. My question is, would there be some method we can use to get those packages to be executed off of the USB media? We've come up with a couple ideas but we're not sure that any of them would work: 1) Manually bring down the packages onto the USB media and hope the TS looks locally to the media first. 2) Manually create/edit the appropriate TS variables which tell the TS where the packages are, pointing them to a local path. Has anybody attempted to do this before?Scott Gill SCCM Consultant

Hi Scott, we had kind of here and MS Support told us to exchange all TS Steps we have done with Collection VARIABLES. So we just copied the TS and created a step for each package. This way works as expected. Don't know if it would fit for your conditions.
