Odd links list sorting issue
We have a links list we have been using for a while. It had an category column (Choice), a URL column (Hyperlink), Owner (Single Person), Administrators (multiple persons), Status (Choice) and Notes (Multiple lines of text). We had it sorted by the URL column, which would sort it by the description portion of the URL, not the actual hyperlink. Last week we changed the Owner column to be a multiple person field, and this somehow changed the sort order of the list. Once we made the change, suddenly the URL column was being sorted by the hyperlink portion of the URL instead of the description. I did some testing and if the Owner field is to accept multiple selections, this changes how it sorts, and if I change it back it corrects it. I tried reordering the columns, but that didn't make any difference. Does any have any idea why this is happening or any ideas on how to correct it? It seems insane that changing one field would change how the list sorts based on another field. Thanks.

Hi Steve, You can use views if the people in your group frequently need to see data in a certain way. Views use columns to sort, group, filter, and display the data. You can also select how many items are displayed at one time in each view. Information in lists is stored in columns, such as Title, Last Name, or Company. If you need to store additional information about list items, you can add columns to help you sort, group, and create multiple views of your list. For example, you can sort a list by due date or group the items by department name.
