Hi
I recently upgraded a SP2010 farm to SP2013 and all looked okay. It turns out some users get prompted for credentials when they use 'save as' within any office product (and the last place they saved to was SharePoint). If they just cancel (x) out of the prompt they can then navigate to where they want to save the document to within SP and it saves as expected. We are getting the error at the bottom of the post in the log and this is linked to an AppFabric distributed cache issue (as mention by https://blog.imason.com/distributed-cache-errors-in-sharepoint-2013/). From what I have read this can cause slowness (due to extra automatic login attempts) or if using FBA repeated prompts. The users have no other issues and all works well if they use SP WFE to open and then save documents.
I have no AppFabric CU installed yet (the fix is to install CU4 or later) but my scenario is different. Has anyone experienced anything similar or got an opinion on whether the CU may help?
Thanks in advance
Phil
